Mulled Cider Wine
Ingredients
- One 750-milliliter bottle Cabernet Sauvignon
- One 12-ounce bottle hard cider
- 1 ounce Allspice Simple Syrup, recipe follows
- Orange slices, for garnish
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 5 allspice berries

Instructions
- Pour the wine, cider and Allspice Simple Syrup into a pitcher or punch bowl. Ladle into glasses. Garnish with orange slices.
- Combine the sugar, allspice and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Turn off the heat and allow the mixture to steep for about 5 minutes. Strain and let cool to room temperature before using.
