Christmas Ham with Mustard Mix
Ingredients
- 1 lightly salted ham, approximately 4 pounds
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 carrots
- 2 onions
- 2 juniper berries
- 2 cloves
- 1 tablespoons dried thyme
- 3 cup bread crumbs
- 1 cup syrup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon ginger powder
- 2 pounds mustard
- 1 tablespoon Garam Masala

Instructions
- For the Ham: Put water in a pot and cover, bring to a boil. Take the foam off the top. Let simmer for 4 hours. Let ham sit in broth over night, covered in refrigerator. For the Mustard Mix:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Whisk ingredients well and brush the mix on the ham. Bake the ham for 30 minutes or until the mustard crust is golden brown.
