Wild Rice with Carrots

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup wild rice (6 ounces)
  • 2 carrots, cut into 1/4-inch dice
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Bring all ingredients to a boil in a 2- to 3-quart saucepan, then simmer, covered, until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, 50 minutes to 1 hour.
