Whiskey Hot and Sour

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • 1-ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2-ounce simple syrup or agave syrup
  • 1 teaspoon egg white
  • Crushed ice
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
  • Orange slice and halved serrano pepper, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pour the bourbon, lemon juice, syrup and egg white into a cocktail shaker and shake well so the egg white can emulsify. Add crushed ice and hot sauce, continue shaking to chill. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a slice of orange and a pepper half.
