Best Recipe for Shepherd's Pie from Birds Eye®

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (14 ounce) bag Birds Eye® Recipe Ready Mirepoix
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (24 ounce) container refrigerated prepared mashed potatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Brown beef in large nonstick skillet; drain fat.* Add tomatoes and Recipe Ready Mirepoix and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer 10 minutes. Stir in parsley and salt.
  3. Turn mixture into 1-1/2 quart casserole dish. Evenly top with mashed potatoes.
  4. Bake 20 minutes or until potatoes are golden and mixture is bubbling.
