Best Recipe for Sage and Apple Sausage Pizza

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons Spectrum Naturals® Olive Oil
  • 1 cup sliced red or sweet onion
  • 1 (12 inch) pre-cooked thin pizza crust
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 Yves Veggie Cuisine® Sage and Apple Sausages, sliced
  • 2 slices Yves Veggie Cuisine® Veggie Bacon Strips, sliced
  • 1/2 cup sliced assorted bell peppers
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. Heat oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-low heat. Add onion; cook, stirring often, for 7 minutes or until soft. Set aside.
  3. Place pizza crust on a baking sheet; spread with sauce. Top with veggie sausage, veggie bacon, peppers, cooked onion, Parmesan and mozzarella.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, until heated through and cheese is melted.
