Pineapple Cookies I
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 cup crushed pineapple with juice
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
- Mix all ingredients in the order given. Drop by tablespoonful onto cookie sheet.
- Bake for 8 - 10 minutes until brown.
