• 1 1/2 fluid ounces cognac
• 1 1/2 fluid ounces dry vermouth
• 2 dashes bitters (such as Peychaud's Bitters®)
• 1 maraschino cherry, for garnish

1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in cognac and vermouth, then shake in bitters. Stir well, strain into a chilled glass, and garnish with a cherry.
