• 1 1/2 quarts vanilla ice cream, plus additional 1/2 quart for topping
• 1 cup dark rum
• 1/2 cup cognac
• 1/2 cup heavy cream
• 1/2 cup milk
• 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
• Freshly grated nutmeg, for garnish

2. Place the ice cream, rum, cognac, heavy cream, milk and vanilla in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses, and top each glass with a scoop of ice cream. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg and serve immediately.
