Fruitcake with Ginger Cream Cheese

- a 3-ounce package cream cheese
- 1 tablespoon minced peeled fresh gingerroot
- thin slices of fruitcake

- In a bowl stir together the cream cheese, softened, and the gingerroot and chill the mixture for 30 minutes. Spread the ginger cream cheese on the fruitcake. Makes about 1/2 cup ginger cream cheese.
