Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 teaspoon butter, or more to taste
  • 1/8 teaspoon seasoning blend (such as Vegeta®), or more to taste
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix water, oats, and a dash of salt together in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on 50% power until oatmeal is chewy and tender, about 5 minutes. Stir. Mix in butter, seasoning blend, salt, and pepper. Let stand for 1 minute before serving.
