Best Recipe for Delicious Chili Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can no-salt-added diced tomatoes
  • 1 (15 ounce) can no-salt-added black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 (5.6 ounce) package Knorr® Fiesta Sides™ - Spanish Rice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat; add onion and garlic. Cook until meat loses its pink color and browns, and onions have softened. Drain fat from the skillet.
  2. Pour water into skillet; add tomatoes, black beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer; reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes.
  3. Bring to a boil. Add rice. Reduce heat to low and cover; simmer until rice is tender, about 7 minutes.
