Berry Jam Doughnut Filling

Ingredients

  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Combine the blackberries, blueberries, sugar and lemon juice in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil to dissolve the sugar, smashing the berries with a potato masher to break them down and release their juices. Simmer to reduce and thicken the jam, about 20 minutes. Let cool.
